GDPR and updating my blog
Hi, welcome to my blog!
If you have been following me before you will see that I have deleted my old posts and had a bit of a general tidy up!
As you know GDPR 2018 came into effect on 25th May and as part of my process I revisited both the Privacy Policies and content of my website.
Although it seemed daunting at first GDPR has provided me with the opportunity (and a deadline!) to reflect on what I want to share here.
Thankfully I had the expertise of Ben at BAWebtech to get it all in order!
Although I still feel passionately about the subject of self-care it seems to be the buzz word everywhere just now, with excellent sites such as https://www.blurtitout.org/2018/05/17/365-days-self-care-journal/ providing inspiration, advice and support. You only have to Google Mindfulness to come up with another host of self-help resources.
There are specific aspects, that may be particularly useful to therapists and others working in roles which have contact with people under high degrees of stress, which are not covered in so much depth but, after a lot of thought, I realised that a practical training day would be a much better vehicle for exploring this.
So, I started to think, what to blog about?
I wanted to choose something that would be useful to colleagues and that can open and stimulate thinking and debate.
I am deeply passionate about my work, about exploring and expanding my knowledge, and developing my individual thinking around Person-Centred (PCA) Theory.
I have a strong personal interest and curiosity around the relationships I perceive between PCA, Attachment theories and the physical neuroscience of how our brains are “wired” and believe that this is an area that may be of interest to others.
I see this blog as a place to share my thinking, and hopefully stimulate yours.
I hope that you will find the blog interesting, the topics will follow where my thinking takes me so will probably reflect issues or challenges that I come across in my work, personal therapy and research.
