About Judy knight
Person-Centred Approach
Qualified as a Person-Centred Psychotherapist, Judy believes in a holistic approach to therapy. Life is full of challenges and can be tough.
Judy doesn't see clients as a set of "symptoms" to be cured; but as fellow human beings, with all the messy, difficult, wonderful, complicated experiences that entails.
Person-Centred therapy is based upon a trusting, empathetic relationship. Judy will work collaboratively with you, to help you explore difficulties you are facing, and support you to find solutions that are right for you.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree level equivalent Diploma in Person-Centred Psychotherapy and Counselling (2014 Temenos Education)
- Certified Cyber Therapist (Online Therapy Institute 2017)
- Level 6 Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision (CPCAB 2019)
- Holistic Integrated Creative Arts Therapies Practitioner (Mind Body Education 2023)
- Counselling in schools, charity and private practice.
- Accredited Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (MNCPS (Accred.))
Philosophy
Judy believes that everyone has the potential for growth and change, and that therapy can help unlock that potential. She works to provide a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without judgement, and supervisees can bring every aspect of their work and experience to a safe, and
non-judgemental supervisory relationship.

Counselling
Every individual has their own reason to seek counselling and Judy is happy to work with you wherever you are in your life ,and at your pace.
Whether you are experiencing a difficult situation, relationship, loss, or change in your life and need an impartial space, or feel that you would benefit from a non-directive place to consider changes you want to make, therapy can help.
Whatever brings you to be searching for a counsellor Judy offers a counselling relationship that can give you space to unravel difficulties, come to see the issues more clearly and find a way to move “forward” that is right for you.
Clinical Supervision
Judy has over 10 years Counselling experience, in a variety of settings from Child and Adolescent Bereavement Services, schools, charity settings and Private Practice.
Her modality is based upon The Person-Centred approach developed by Carl Rogers; however many people regard her ethos as integrative.
Qualified as a Clinical Supervisor since 2019 Judy works with both qualified therapists and those still in training. She is passionate about creating a supervisory relationship which both supports and encourages growth in her supervisees.
Training
Judy has researched the areas of Attachment with regard to early trauma, has lived experience of Neurodiversity and is currently writing a book to help demystify therapy. Her goal is to help clients in marginalised groups understand therapy and its origins and make it more accessible to all.
Judy offers bespoke full and half day sessions.
